Aa. Klyamkin et al., INFLUENCE OF THE TEMPERATURE, ELECTROLYTE, AND ETHANOL ON THE BEHAVIOR OF A CATIONIC SURFACE-ACTIVE MONOMER-I MONOLAYERS AT THE WATER-GAS INTERFACE, Colloid journal of the Russian Academy of Sciences, 55(3), 1993, pp. 401-405
The influence of the temperature, ethanol, and sodium bromide on the b
ehavior of ylacetyl-N,N-dimethyl-N-methacryloyl-ethylammonium bromide
in monolayers at the water-argon interface was investigated. A decreas
e in the temperature and addition of sodium bromide to the aqueous pha
se lead to an increase in the rigidity and a decrease in the compressi
bility of the monolayer, while an increase in the temperature and the
addition of ethanol result in its loosening up.
