Abstract
Critical slowing down connected with crisis induced intermittency is i nvestigated for a simple piecewise linear map and the double well Duff ing oscillator. In order to estimate correctly the important character istics of dynamical systems just after crisis an experiment on a very long time-scale indeed is needed.
