Abstract
Spectral dispersion of a light beam by a diffraction grating is invest igated in order to prove the feasibility of formation of a light flash moving at an arbitrary velocity along a certain axis z. An experiment al demonstration is reported of a tilt of the coherence layers relativ e to the constant-phase planes when light is diffracted by a grating.
