Abstract
Immunization of rabbits with antigens of adult female Boophilus microp lus showed acquired resistance in the host to reinfestation, as eviden ced by reduced attachment, engorgement and recovery rates and extended feeding periods of all the instars of the tick in the immunized group . Even a small dose of antigen induced immunity in rabbits against sub sequent infestation.
