Abstract
Interaction of an electromagnetic wave with an active quasiwaveguide l ayer has been investigated with interference effects taken into accoun t. A qualitative agreement is obtained with the results of the investi gations in which the interference of the waves counterpropagating in t he active layer was disregarded.
