Iv. Goltser et al., INFLUENCE OF SELF-DIFFRACTION ON SPATIAL- FREQUENCY BAND OF A STATIC HOLOGRAPHIC GRATING RECORDED BY SYNCHRONOUS DETECTION TECHNIQUE, Kvantovaa elektronika, 20(8), 1993, pp. 817-822
Differential equations describing a hologram recording by synchronous
detection technique and allowing for self-diffraction effects were der
ived and solved numerically. The influence of self-diffraction on spat
ial-frequency band of the holographic grating recorded in ferroelectri
c crystal Ba2NaNb5O15 and sillenite Bi12SiO20 was experimentally inves
tigated. A satisfactory agreement between theory and experiment was fo
und. It was shown that under equal conditions a hologram recorded in f
erroelectric crystals has a wider spatial-frequency band as compared w
ith that recorded in a sillenite.
