The way in which the ratio of the components of the catalytic system,
the pressure in the monomer mixture, and the preliminary heat treatmen
t of the catalytic system influence the kinetics of the copolymerizati
on of carbon oxide and ethylene in acetic acid were studied. The inter
relationship between the physical and chemical properties of the copol
ymer and the conditions of synthesis were studied by elemental analysi
s, viscometry, and differential scanning calorimetry.
