Abstract
PVC/PE blends have been studied using spin probe ESR spectroscopy in a wide range of compositions. Registration of the second derivatives of ESR spectra allows the determination of correlation times of probe ro tation in two-phase systems more accurately than does the registration of the first derivatives. Modification of the PE phase with PVC resul ts in the creation of interphase layers with a lower molecular mobilit y. The potential of the method of assessment of local probe concentrat ion for the analysis of the ratio of components in heterogeneous syste ms was demonstrated.
