MARGINAL PROFIT EQUATION FOR THE DEFINITION OF THE BREEDING OBJECTIVEOF CHINESE MERINO SHEEP

The marginal profit equations for the definition of the breeding objec tive of Chinese Merino sheep have been deduced the difference method. Biologic and breeding coefficients and product values and production c osts of Chinese Merino sheep type Junken in Xinjiang area have been in vestigated, and marginal profits for traits in determining the breedin g objective of the population were also calculated. The economic impor tance of wool, meat and reproduction traits in line B and line C were nearly in the proportion of 3: 1: 1 and 5:2:3, respectively, and that of line A was between line B and line C.
