Abstract
Aminoethyl 3-chlorobenzyl ether (3), synthesized by the reaction of 3- chlorobenzyl bromide with aminoethanol and NaH, was shown to be a time -dependent reversible inactivator of both monoamine oxidase A and B. T he selectivity for inactivation of monoamine oxidase B, as measured by (k(inact)/K-I)(B)l(k(inact)/K-I)(A), is 1700.
