We describe a case of giant congenital melanocytic nevus with placenta
l villous involvement in an otherwise uncomplicated pregnancy. Only fo
ur similar cases have been reported in the world literature. Nevomelan
ocytes were found in both villous stoma and fetal capillaries. No neon
atal or maternal adverse effects were observed 5 years after diagnosis
in the present case.
