The autocorrelational function of the duration of heart periods as an
equal function to the known heart rate power spectrum enables statemen
ts about the middle (linear) connection between the heart beats includ
ing the heart rate variability. So we are able to investigate as well
the connection of breathing and circulational function as the influenc
e of the autonomal nervous system to the circulation by means of the a
utocorrelational function. There is the possibility to assess indirect
ly both the micro- and the macrocirculation in the peripheral circulat
ion and the myocardial circulation by means of the noninvasively measu
rement of the volume pulsation at the extremities with the Near-Infrar
ed-Remission-Photoplethysmography (NIRP). So we can measure not only t
he tachogramm of the duration of heart periods from the ECG but with s
ufficient approximation from peripheral volume pulsations to. To expan
d the statement it must done functional tests like deep breathing in t
ime.
