STEP - A SATELLITE TEST OF THE EQUIVALENCE PRINCIPLE

The fundamental nature of the various experiments on STEP has profound implications for the most important areas of physics. STEP would be E SA's first mission in Fundamental Physics, opening up a third discipli ne area in space science, in addition to Solar-System Exploration and Astronomy. A very large community of physicists in numerous universiti es and science institutes in Europe, and also in the USA, would make u se in their work of the results obtained from STEP.
