Abstract
A monolithic, self-frequency-doubled green laser is fabricated from ne odymium-doped yttrium aluminum borate. The threshold pump power for gr een output is less than 10mW, and up to 20 mW of green output (lambda = 531 nm) in a TEM00 mode is generated when pumped by a 1W GaAlAs lase r diode. The green output is free of large-amplitude fluctuations with a relative intensity noise of-154dB/Hz.
