Abstract
A newly established cell strain capable of continuous cultivation deri ved from newborn pig thyroid (NPTh), is discussed. The karyotype study revealed that the cell line has a heteroploid chromosome pattern, but the altered karyotype did not seem to be related to malignancy. It is suggested that the cells may be useful for investigations connected w ith the porcine viruses.
