Abstract
We studied the corrosion rates of titanium and palladium electrodes, a nd also of titanium and palladium from the intermetallic phases Ti2Pd and TiPd in the anodic and cathodic ranges and at the corrosion potent ial in 10% H2SO4 at 100 degrees C. The results enabled us to shed ligh t on the mechanism of the protective action of electrospark palladium coatings on titanium.
