Scintillation decay times for nuclear radiations in a trans-stilbene c
rystal were measured using a transient digitizer [P. Harihar et al., B
ull. Am. Phys. Soc. 36 (1991) 1680]. The results show [H. Chen et al.,
Bull. Am. Phys. Soc. 37 (1992) 1871; Bull. Am. Phys. Soc. Trans., to
be published) that the decay time of the slow component increases with
the specific energy loss (dE/dx), while the fast component is relativ
ely insensitive to it.
