Abstract
Soluble oligosaccharide carbohydrates from the partial enzymatic hydro lysis of pulp were degraded to monosaccharides by enzymatic hydrolysis using a complete mixture of cellulolytic and hemicellulolytic enzymes and subsequently analysed by HPLC. With this method it was possible t o obtain a quantitative estimate of both the 5- and 6-carbon sugars co mprising the soluble oligosaccharides.
