Abstract
A new high power electron tube, the Klystrode, combining features of t he klystron and the tetrode, is being used in UHF. TV and scientific s ervice. The efficiency, reliability, and other capabilities of the Kly strode will be valuable for UHF industrial applications. This paper pr esents the principles of the Klystrode and descriptions of its perform ance in TV and scientific applications.
