Abstract
Sever generalized alopecia and marked vulvar enlargement were observed in a 5-year-old spayed ferret with high serum estradiol concentration s. A neoplastic left adrenal gland was removed. Staining of the neopla stic cells for estradiol was demonstrated by use of immunohistochemist ry. Clinical findings in this ferret were typical of adrenal-associate d endocrinopathy, a syndrome characterized by increased secretion of a drenocortical hormones by hyperplastic or neoplastic adrenal glands.
