PLANNING AND REALIZATION OF RESEARCH PROJ ECTS IN PSYCHOSOMATIC-MEDICINE

Based on experiences of the author in planning and realization of scie ntific studies the different phases and steps of research process are discussed. Especially in the phases of reflecting and planning of a st udy, a lot of essential preliminary tasks are quite often missed. Fail ures in these initial phases of a scientific study lead to difficultie s in collecting and evaluating of datas. Important steps in the differ ent phases of a project are reported in an overview. Finally some typi cal failures and faults in psychosomatic research made by physicians a nd social scientists are mentioned.
