Abstract
The Geological Survey of Canada R&D logging system was used to make bo rehole geophysical measurements at the Port Hope landfill site for the Low-Level Radioactive Waste Management Office of Atomic Energy of Can ada Limited. The objective was to assess the applicability of using bo rehole investigation methods to characterize low-level radioactive was te. Gamma-ray spectral logging was found to be a useful measurement fo r this application. A special logging protocol was developed to minimi ze the effects of radon.
