The magnetic properties of the cubic compounds TiCo(x)Sn (1 < x < 2) a
nd TiCoxNi2-xSn (0 < x < 2) have been studied. Paramagnetic, ferromagn
etic moments, Curie temperatures increase with Co content. The ratio o
f paramagnetic to ferromagnetic moment, the discrepancy between the pa
ramagnetic temperature and the ferromagnetic Curie point are accounted
for by the itinerant ferromagnetism model. A peculiar variation of th
e magnetic moment versus temperature and versus composition in the TiC
o(x)Sn series may be explained by induced magnetism on the Co atom loc
ated in the less occupied Co sublattice.
