The rheological behaviour of viscose solutions, containing sodium viny
lsulphonate as additive has been studied. It is shown that their curve
s can be described well by the model of Ostwald-de Waele. With the aim
to reveal the quantitative dependence of the rheological coefficients
''K'' and ''n'' in this model, on the sodium vinylsulphonate concentr
ation, time and temperature of tau = f(gamma) measurement, the method
of the designed experiment has been used. The regression equations thu
s obtained show that the addition of sodium vinylsulphonate in concent
ration up to 5%, which makes possible to avoid the use of the Zn - con
taining bath in viscose fibres production, increases the fluidity of t
he viscose solutions.
