Abstract
Loading of nutrients and organic matter is significant to the eutrophi cation of reservoirs. This paper identifies several features of reserv oirs which determine the patterns of loading and the biotic consequenc es. The papers presented in the section with the above title at the Se cond International Conference on Reservoir Limnology and Water Quality , Ceske Budejovice, Czechoslovakia, 9-14 August 1992 are introduced.
