Abstract
This study examines the differential heat sensitivity of rounded suspe nsion cells versus flattened monolayer cells. G1 populations of two di fferent Chinese hamster ovary lines were used to eliminate possible ce ll cycle artifacts. The cell populations were heated at 43 and 45-degr ees-C. In all cases, cells treated in suspension were less sensitive t o heat killing than cells treated as monolayers.
