This brief report summarizes the first available findings on long-term
traumatic stress syndromes among ex-servicemen who are veterans of th
e Falklands War. The results reveal a correlation between physical inj
ury during the War and posttraumatic stress disorder, indicating the n
eed for a long-term follow-up survey incorporating treatment evaluatio
ns and welfare rights.
