Abstract
Octasaccharide corresponding to the partial structure derived from lip id IV has been prepared by coupling of the nonreducing end trisacchari de with reducing end pentasaccharide as an acceptor in the presence of dimethyl(methylthio)sulfonium triflate, followed by deprotection of a desirable protected octasaccharide.
