Phase transformations in the C15-type system HfV2Dx (0.3 less-than-or-
equal-to x less-than-or-equal-to 4.08) were studied by X-ray diffracti
on, 2D nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and differential thermoanalysi
s. The experimental data on the transition temperatures and structures
of the low-temperature phases were combined to obtain a tentative pha
se diagram of this system. The results are compared with those for the
closely related ZrV2Hx(Dx) system.
