Rn. Goyal et A. Mittal, APPLICATION OF ELECTROANALYTICAL TECHNIQUES IN MONITORING METAL-IONS POLLUTION IN WATER - A REVIEW, Journal of Scientific & Industrial Research, 52(9), 1993, pp. 607-623
Electroanalytical techniques are known for their application to determ
ination of metal ions at low concentrations. Determination of toxic me
tals in water using these techniques is described. It is pointed out t
hat these techniques could be used successfully for the determination
of metals individually as well as for their simultaneous determination
s. In the latter category, determination of cobalt, lead and copper in
the presence of a variety of metals/metal ions is described. A table
containing data regarding determination of lead, copper, cadmium, zinc
, nickel, cobalt, iron, mercury, vanadium, titanium, chromium, mangane
se, molybdenum, gallium, tantalum, aluminium, tin, arsenic. antimony,
bismuth, selenium and platinum metals is given to select the method th
at could be used for determining a particular metal.
