Abstract
Stress-strain measurements of SBR vulcanizates are compared with the d ouble network model based on an inhomogeneous deformation behaviour of filled elastomers. In the model, the total stress is given by superpo sition of the contributions of two independent networks according to t heir volume fractions. In comparison with experimental data the parame ter of the model show a dependence both on filler content and type of carbon black.
