Gj. Creemers et al., NECROTIZING BRONCHIAL ASPERGILLOSIS IN A PATIENT WITH ACUTE MYELOCYTIC-LEUKEMIA - A CASE-REPORT, Netherlands journal of medicine, 43(3-4), 1993, pp. 121-124
This case report describes a patient with acute myelocytic leukaemia,
who developed a necrotizing bronchial aspergillosis. This is an uncomm
on, new form of invasive aspergillosis, which is mainly seen in the he
art-lung transplantation setting and has only been reported once in an
other patient with leukaemia. Neither amphotericin B nor liposomal amp
hotericin (AmBisome) was effective. Only after the immune system had r
ecovered did the infection disappear.
