Abstract
This paper deals with some properties of silver halide AgClxBr1-x phot ochromic glasses. Nanometer size copper doped silver halide particles (50-200 angstrom) obtained as precipitates in a glassy matrix have bee n studied during darkening and thermal bleaching by Electron Paramagne tic Resonance (EPR). Structural mechanisms are proposed for these two processes. Analogies and differences between photochromic and photogra phic processes are also discussed.
