The combination of neutron activation analysis (NAA) and electrochemis
try has been used to study the deposition behavior of rare earth eleme
nts, as it is reported that excepting La, no other mm earths are elect
rodeposited. The radiotracers of rare earth elements were electrolyzed
in an aqueous medium on a graphite electrode by varying the voltage a
nd time of electrodeposition, thereby optimizing the final experimenta
l conditions for quantitative deposition of ram earth elements. The ob
servations am reported in this work.
