Gn. Vien et al., H-ATOM EXCHANGE IN LOW-ENERGY IH (V=0)- EFFECT OF THE POTENTIAL-ENERGY SURFACE(I COLLISIONS ), Chemical physics letters, 215(1-3), 1993, pp. 35-39
The LEPS hypersurface C of Schatz, Sokolovski and Connor, which has be
en devised to account for the photodetachment spectrum of the IHI- ani
on, is assumed in the present study of the dynamics of the I2H system.
The calculation involves our previous proposed Born-Oppenheimer-type
separation between the light and heavy nuclear motions. This method en
ables one to explain the previous photodetachment results and to provi
de state-to-state H-atom-exchange cross sections in low-energy IH (v=0
) + I collisions. These two processes exhibit common features that are
related to the topology of the electronic hypersurface.
