A. Levinger et al., QUANTUM BEATS OF OPTICALLY-EXCITED MOLECULAR-STATES DRESSED BY RADIOFREQUENCY PHOTONS, Optics communications, 103(5-6), 1993, pp. 381-386
Using quantum beat detection the characteristic features of a dressed
two-level system have been observed in a double-resonance experiment.
It is shown that splittings and shifts of the detected quantum beat si
gnal resulting from the ''dressing'' effect of a radio-frequency field
have a specific dependence on the radio-frequency phase, field streng
th and detuning from resonance. The effects are demonstrated for a hyp
erfine two-level system in a rovibronic state of the excited electroni
c state 3A2 of the (CS2)-C-13 molecule.
