Abstract
The scaling of physical and operational Properties of the NLFP as a fu nction of the cavity finesse are investigated. It is found that the di stributed nature of the dielectric mirrors places severe limitations o n the device performance, namely on its switching energy, signal fan-i n and tolerance.
