Tensile tests of Fe77.5Si15B7.5 metallic glass electrolytically charge
d with hydrogen are presented. The results show that pronounced irreve
rsible changes in plastic behavior are produced which leads us to conc
lude the existence of at least two different hydrogen-trapping sites i
n the metallic glass with weak and strong bond energy. The deeper trap
ping site is associated with the same defects that are responsible for
the plastic behavior of the metallic glass.
