Abstract
Emission spectroscopy and flame atomic absorption spectrophotometry we re used to measure the contents of the heavy metals: Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, N i, Cu, Zn, Cd and Pb in mollusks Mytilus edulis Linne and in the water s of the Avacha Bay. It is shown that the Mussel Mytilus edulis is a m onitor and indicator of higher Clark values of Cr and Pb contents caus ed by the metallogenic and untrophogenic influence in the Avacha Bay.
