Paleomagnetic episode Getenburg was registered in the new-evksinik sed
iments right under the marking hydrotroilitic level and excursus etrus
sion in jemitine sediments. By means of magnetic mineralogy it is show
n that approximately to the middle of hydrotroilitic level the magneti
c properties are controlled by magnetite, hematite and maggemite and h
igher by the ferrosulphides. The two main peaks of sediments magnetizi
ng were found in the upper part of the hydrotroilitic level and in the
bottom of calamatic sediments. The observed variations correlate with
the paleogeography of the region.
