Mesoscopic fluctuations in the transport properties of quasi-one-dimen
sional conductors are studied via the eigenvalue distribution of the t
ransmission matrix. Fluctuations in the universal regime are character
ized completely by the two-point correlation function of the eigenvalu
e density at scales large compared to the mean eigenvalue spacing. Thi
s correlation function is calculated exactly.
