Abstract
The review of optical properties of Ferrolectric chiral smectic Liquid Crystals (FLCs) based on a diffraction on a supermolecular periodic s tructure is given. Symmetry and physical properties as well as electro optical effects and their possible applications of FLCs are discussed.
