WORD-LENGTH CODING IN NEGLECT DYSLEXIA

Single word reading was examined in two patients with left visual negl ect. Both patients showed preservation of word length, which is the sa lient feature of neglect dyslexia. By varying lexical and contextual p arameters we could, however, induce responses considerably shorter or longer than the stimuli. The findings are relevant to current accounts of neglect dyslexia.
