There have been tested the reactions of oxygen with SnO2 surface by th
e temperature programmed reduction (TPR), oxidation (TPO), and desorpt
ion (TPD) Tests were carried out to reveal the mechanism of SnO2 actio
n as a sensor of methane, hydrogen, and carbon monoxide. Tested oxides
of tin were prepared in various ways. Direct relationship between SnO
2 properties as a gaseous sensor and as an oxygen sorbent has been stu
died.
