Abstract
The authors have developed a 2-stage program of coronary heart disease detection in the setting of an outpatient clinic. Stage 1 is performe d in the examination department, stage 2 in the cardiological departme nt. The 3-year experience covering 10 000 males aged 20-59 served the basis for dividing the patients into 3 groups: patients with the disea se risk factors (group 1), patients with definite disease (group II) a nd patients with probable disease (group III). A differential approach to management of each group patients is validated.
