Abstract
The five-coordinate, dicationic complex [Cp(2)Zr(CH3CN)(3)][AsF6](2) ( 1) was formed by reaction of Cp(2)ZrCl(2) and 2 equiv. of AgAsF6 in ac etonitrile. A stable, polymeric niobocenium UF6 complex, [Cp(2)NbCl(2) ][UF6] (2), was synthesized from Cp(2)NbCl(2), and UF6. A convenient l aboratory-scale synthesis of pure UF6 is reported.
