A SPECIALIZED COMPUTER-BASED MONITORING-SYSTEM FOR INTRAOPERATIVE ELECTROCORTICOGRAPHY

We have developed a computer-based intraoperative ECoG monitoring syst em which offers the flexibility to digital recording and allows detail ed review of recorded events without interrupting monitoring. In addit ion, a diagram showing the electrode positions on the brain can be gen erated on computer screen and subsequently displayed during monitoring - this allows automatic indication of the electrode positions corresp onding to specific ECoG channels and can provide the surgeon with a cl ear visual impression of the area of spiking.
