Mb. Rubin et Al. Yarin, ON THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN PHENOMENOLOGICAL MODELS FOR ELASTIC-VISCOPLASTIC METALS AND POLYMERIC LIQUIDS, Journal of non-Newtonian fluid mechanics, 50(1), 1993, pp. 79-88
The main objective of the present paper IS to use specific constitutiv
e equations developed to model the elastic viscoplastic response of me
tals and to show how a Leonov-type model can be obtained as a special
case. This establishes a direct connection between the tensorial struc
ture of the constitutive equations for elastic-viscoplastic metals and
those for polymeric liquids. Recognizing this connection can be impor
tant because it follows that many of the analytical tools developed by
fluid mechanicians can be used directly to analyze a large class of d
ifficult problems associated with the plastic flow of metals.
