Abstract
The possibilities of the characteristic radiation method for construct ing XTRD are explored with the help of Monte Carlo program, and it is shown that one can extend the values of Lorentz factors of detected pa rticles up to the region 10(4) - 10(5). The proposed XTRDs can find wi de application at present and future accelerators and colliders such a s LEP, Tevatron, UNK, SSC, CLIC etc.
