Light absorption spectra in silicon at 1K have been measured by adiaba
tic calorimetry with the help of ionization to heat conversion method.
The main feature of the experiment was achievement of sensitivity enh
ancement up to 2000 in comparison with ordinary calorimetric detection
. Spectral sensitivity of the ionization to heat conversion method in
the case of photoionization in silicon was established.
